New McDonalds Restaurant, Greenfield Site in a new development
KEY PROJECT FEATURES
- McDonald’s Mod 516 Store Design & Layout
- steel wall frame & truss construction
- unique décor palette
A key feature of this project was the décor pallet. The pallet is a Studio Norget (French Architect) design which has been incorporated into select stores around the world. Prior to McDonald’s Emerald Hills this concept had only been used in Paris and New York.
Emerald Hills will be the only store in Australia to feature this pallet. The pallet includes the use of high end materials including fabrics, veneers, printed metalwork and glass, tiles, light fittings and graphics.
Most of these products had to be sourced from overseas and as such, long lead times had to be considered and programmed.
The décor aspect of the project exceeded $650,000, compared to standard store décor from that typically range between $200,000 and $300,000.
The “back of house” operational area was standard as per typical McDonalds store builds with a commercial kitchen with drive thru etc.
The project was completed in 16 weeks as programmed.
